To boost the industrial development in the state, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan during a road show in Coimbatore has given an open invitation to the industrialists from Tamil Nadu to set up their manufacturing units in MP. The road show was organised by the Madhya Pradesh government for the Global Investors’ Meet, which will be held in Indore on October 9 and 10.
According to Chouhan, this move will boost industrial development in the state, especially in the textile and automobile sectors. He also highlighted various initiatives that have already been taken up by the state government to boost industrialisation. These include Chief Minister’s self-employment scheme, investor-friendly policies, uninterrupted power supply and zero-tolerance for corruption.
Apart from these, the state follows a single-window system for industries to avoid delay in service from government.
Addressing the industry captains in Coimbatore, Chouhan said, “I am the CEO of Madhya Pradesh and not just the CM… Investors can meet me every Monday even without having an appointment. You won’t face any problems when you come to our state.”
“Our industrial policy is investor friendly. We can give power on a 24X7 basis to industries. Trade unionism is not there and the law and order situation is good,” he further added.
Industry leaders said that the offer by MP is very attractive, but they need to explore the business ecosystem available in MP before setting up an industrial corridor in the state.
